In but a few short weeks, so much has happened! I was asked to step in to be apart of the brilliant and colorful cast of School House Rock Live at Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, an incredible debut Orlando theatre experience. I have squeezed in a nice bit of studio time (we've laid down SEVEN tracks). I am currently releasing homespun demos of originals and requested covers on YouTube with my "Bare Sessions" series. Go have a watch and a listen and then consider purchasing from my music site!!

It's a glorious Sunday morning here in sunny Orlando and I couldn't be happier to share this cheery little video with you. In a single day, all of my beautiful friends and family and friends of friends and strangers and pets came out of the woodwork to help me create my most emotionally charged and magical video yet. For Ingrid Michaelson's "Everybody" contest- here it is:
And the beautiful blessings don't stop there. The amazing Jameson Boyce has taken this very homespun and unkowing musician (me) under his wing and into the recording studio. It's incredible to finally have my fingers on weighted keys (as opposed to the old midi) and at LONG LAST recording my music with a true talent and professional. Stay tuned for the release date of this real, actual, non-Garageband demo. :)

At this rate, I'm becoming a U.S. State connoisseur. A month ago I was apartment hunting in Nashville, TN and now suddenly I find myself newly inhabitating Orlando, Florida. "Why?" you might ask. In a nutshell, some very valuable friends and connections have brought me here to the Sunshine State. The official recording of my demo will soon ensue and Monday, February 22nd marks my first Disney World audition. I'm in a beautiful place with beautiful friends pursuing music and theatre simultaneously. I can't complain. And who WOULDN'T want to live a mile from Disney's Hollywood Studios? Stay tuned.

Greetings from Music City USA! I am currently in the midst of my first week in beautiful Nashville, TN. The apartment and job searches are well underway and I've already begun to meet and reconnect with some amazing people. Even within the walls of my tiny hotel room, I've been able to begin writing some new songs. Keep on the look out for new material to be posted soon and check out my two latest originals on the videos page! Have a blessed day! :)
1.11.10 Whoa! Has is it been a long time since an update or what? So, after touring with Children's Theatre of Charlotte Tarradiddle Players for a couple months and celebrating a nice, chilly Christmas at home in Waxhaw, NC, I am working to scrape in a few more pennies before moving to... drum roll please... Nashville, TN! It will be a long road, I'm sure. Especially since I'm moving out there with a Theatre degree and very little knowledge of the music industry. On top of this, I know next to no one. So, wish me luck. You can follow my upcoming Nashville exploits over here or watch my new vlog if reading ain't your thang.
I have been posting a good handful of new videos lately- originals and covers, alike. So head on over to Youtube to check them out. While you're at it, feel free to stop by the Tenderbot page, my new collaborative comedy project with Jeremy Shane and Jason Looney. Stay tuned and have a great day, folks!
10.10.09 Demolicious. Candace's Demo Reel is now viewable for casting agents and directors:
You can also now check out demo versions/ a sneak peek at my up and coming EP at the lovely Bandcamp Music Community. 9. 23. 09 New song "Cake" is nowavailable for listening and viewing on YouTube!
9. 14. 09 Wonder of wonders! This website is nearly complete! You will notice that the previous news entry on this page was written in third person. In the last 48 hours, I realized that pretending to have someone write my news updates for me is, more or less, ridiculous. I'm self-promoting so I might as well take the credit for it.
Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be working hard to put the finishing touches on my own recorded musical material for the New York Songwriter's Circle Songwriting Contest.
I will be submitting three songs, including the Facebook acclaimed (ha!) "Home to NC" and two others heard only by a few harsh critiquing friends. :) Success pending with these close-to-my-heart ditties in the contest, you will hear them at their fullest capacity on my first EP,available to the public whenever I happen upon comletion. :)
9. 12. 09 Candace is thrilled to be extending her current show "Respect the Musical: A Musical Journey of Women" for an extra weekend at the Lake Dillon Theatre Company in beautiful Colorado.
At the end of September, Candace returns home to Charlotte, NC where she will partake in a two-month tour with Children's Theatre of Charlotte's renowned Tarradiddle Players in "Mouse Tails."
In December, Candace moves to New York to live the glorious actor's life and work on her very first EP: "Music From A Can."
